We’re excited to welcome a dynamic Inside Sales Support Intern this summer to help drive our sales efforts while gaining valuable real-world experience in business development and client relationship management.

 

What you will do:

  • Researching and identifying potential customers in target industries (manufacturing, aerospace, retail, automotive, etc.)
  • Building prospect lists using LinkedIn, CRM tools, and industry databases
  • Supporting outbound prospecting efforts (email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, call preparation)
  • Assisting with lead qualification and follow-up
  • Updating and maintaining CRM data accuracy
  • Conducting competitive research and market analysis
  • Preparing sales materials and presentations
  • Supporting rate requests and quote preparation
  • Participating in sales meetings and strategy sessions
  • Assisting with pipeline reporting and tracking KPIs
  • Active prospecting of potential customers and cold calling.

 

Learning Objectives

By the end of the internship, the candidate will gain exposure to:

  • International freight forwarding sales strategy
  • Air, ocean and road freight fundamentals
  • Trade lanes and global logistics terminology
  • Prospecting and pipeline development
  • CRM management and sales tracking
  • Sales performance metrics (GP, revenue, conversion ratios)
  • Professional communication with B2B clients

 

What you bring:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in:
    • Business
    • Sales
    • Marketing
    • Supply Chain
    • International Business
    • Related field
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Comfortable speaking with new contacts and engaging in outreach
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, TEAMS)
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented
  • Interest in international trade and global logistics
  • Ability to work within a team.
  • Overall outgoing personality.

Preferred but not required:

  • Prior sales, marketing, or customer service experience
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator
  • Basic understanding of logistics or supply chain concepts.
